Good morning. Michigan. I'm Aaron Jolly. That thick soup outside your window? It's no illusion. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 A.M. For areas from Monroe up to St. Clair County, plus Branch and Hillsdale. Visibility drops to under a quarter mile in spots, so take it slow on the roads this morning. In the next 24 hours. Once that fog burns off, we're looking at a genuinely pleasant day. West Michigan and Northern Michigan are the big winners — both regions top out in the mid-50s under mostly sunny skies. That's running about 26 degrees warmer than usual for early March. Southeast Michigan stays a bit cooler thanks to those lingering low clouds, peaking at 46 degrees. Tonight, the pattern shifts. Rain spreads into West Michigan after 1 A.M. and reaches Southeast Michigan by late evening. Lows settle in the mid-30s. That full moon you might spot early tonight? It'll get swallowed by clouds as the system rolls in. Thursday brings a soaker. Rain is likely statewide, with Southeast Michigan picking up a half to three-quarters of an inch. Highs hold in the mid-40s. But here's the headline. Spring makes a serious cameo this weekend. Friday and Saturday surge into the 60s — potentially record-warm territory. Both days come with showers and possible thunderstorms before a cold front sweeps through Saturday night. Sunday and Monday look fantastic. Mostly sunny with highs in the mid-50s to low 60s. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight each day now. And the spring equinox sits just two weeks away. Get outside while you can today. The wet weather arrives tonight and sticks around through Saturday. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
