Good evening. Michigan. I'm Aaron Jolly. That gray ceiling has held us at a stubborn 36 degrees all day. But here's the thing. This is the quiet before a serious pattern shift. You've probably noticed the sun sticking around a bit longer. We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight every day now. By the weekend, you'll really feel the difference. In the next 24 hours. Tonight plays out differently depending on where you're. Southeast Michigan stays mostly cloudy with a low near 30. Fog develops after 3 A.M., so Thursday morning's commute could start slow. Head west toward Grand Rapids and Muskegon. And the sky clears out. That drops temperatures to around 26 degrees, making West Michigan the cold spot tonight. Northern Michigan clears out as well, bottoming out near 28 under starlit skies. Wednesday brings a welcome turnaround. Southeast Michigan climbs to 46 degrees under partly sunny skies once that morning fog burns off. West Michigan is the warm spot in the state at 54 degrees with full sunshine. Northern Michigan hits 49 degrees. It's going to be a gorgeous early March day. The story shifts Thursday. Rain spreads north through the state and sticks around into the weekend. Temperatures climb steadily. Friday pushes into the upper 50s to low 60s. Saturday could hit the mid 60s in southern Michigan. But that warmth comes with thunderstorms. We dry out and cool slightly by Sunday. Highs land in the mid 50s under mostly sunny skies. Monday brings another chance of rain with highs near 60. So enjoy the quiet weather tonight. The full moon rises over a state about to flip from winter chill to spring warmth. And a wet weekend. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
