Good evening. Michigan. I'm Aaron Jolly. Folks, enjoy the quiet tonight. Because this week's weather has a plot twist coming. High pressure is parked right over the Great Lakes, giving us one last calm, dry evening. But a low pressure system is already spinning up near the Four Corners. By Thursday, it's knocking on our door with rain. By Saturday? Possible thunderstorms and 66 degrees. In early March. We'll get there. In the next 24 hours. First, tonight. Skies clear out statewide. West Michigan drops to 26 degrees. Up north, you're looking at 28 degrees. Southeast Michigan holds onto 30 degrees. One thing to watch. Fog creeps in after 3 A.M. Near the Lake Erie shoreline. If you're an early commuter in that corridor, give yourself extra time. Wednesday is genuinely nice. West Michigan leads the way at 54 degrees under full sunshine. Northern Michigan reaches 49 degrees. Southeast Michigan hits 46 degrees with partly sunny skies. Any leftover fog burns off by 8 A.M. Then the flip. Rain pushes into Southeast Michigan after 7 P.M. Wednesday. West Michigan sees showers rolling in after 1 A.M. Thursday. Thursday itself is a gray, soggy day statewide. Highs only reach the mid to upper 40s. Now the week ahead gets interesting. Friday and Saturday, that low pressure system cranks up. Showers, possible thunderstorms. And temperatures climbing fast. Saturday's highs could touch 66 degrees in the southeast. That's nearly 26 degrees above normal. Sunday dries out with mid 50s. Monday stays mild near 60 degrees. We're gaining almost three minutes of daylight every day now. Spring equinox is two weeks out. This forecast feels like it got the memo early. Charge your phone, set your wipers upright Wednesday night. You'll want them ready.
