Mild-mannered family man Martin Harvey expects a simple Caribbean trip when he inherits an old yacht and heads south to claim it. After he and his family reach a tiny island and see the boat is barely seaworthy, they reluctantly hire carefree Captain Ron to sail it to Miami. Their straightforward trip quickly becomes a chaotic adventure as Ron's anything-goes style drives the Harveys from one mishap to the next.
