Good evening. Maryland. I'm Jack O'Malley. That dusting of snow overnight? It’s already history. We've traded the flakes for a raw, damp chill that settles right into your bones. Temperatures climbed just enough to melt things out, leaving us with gray skies and a steady drizzle. Down at Ocean City, you'll want to be extra careful tonight. Dense fog is rolling in, cutting visibility to a quarter mile through 8 P.M. Step outside and you'll feel that heavy, moist air. Baltimore is sitting at 41 degrees, while Central Maryland holds at 40. Out west in the mountains, you're looking at 39 degrees. It's a tight range statewide, but that moisture makes it feel cooler. Rain continues statewide this evening, with fog developing as darkness falls. In the next 24 hours. Tonight's lows barely budge. We're stuck in the upper 30s to low 40s. Rain tapers off by morning, but don't get used to the dry air. Wednesday brings more showers and a modest warm-up toward 50 degrees. Then the pattern really shifts. Thursday, temperatures surge into the low 60s. By Friday and the weekend? We're looking at upper 60s to low 70s. That's nearly 39 degrees above normal for early March. The trade-off is daily shower chances and maybe a few rumbles of thunder Thursday night into the weekend. After our recent dry stretch, the ground is going to drink this right up. Tonight's full moon will be playing hide-and-seek behind all those clouds. We're gaining daylight fast now, with sunset just past 6 P.M. Grab an umbrella for the morning commute.
