  • 428. The Best Way to Lose Weight in Your 30's & Beyond (And It Doesn't Start with Diet)
    Jun 29 2026

Have you ever felt like you're doing everything right—eating less, trying the latest diets, squeezing in workouts whenever you can—yet the scale barely moves?

Maybe losing weight in your 20s felt easier, but now your body seems to be playing by a completely different set of rules.

So what do we do? We double down. We cut more calories, eliminate more foods, and push ourselves even harder.

But what if the reason you're stuck isn't because you're not dieting enough? What if the best way to lose weight in your 30s, 40s, and beyond has less to do with restriction and more to do with creating an environment where your body feels safe, supported, and well-nourished?

In today's episode, we're talking about four foundational areas that have a bigger impact on weight loss than most women realize:

    1. Your mindset around food.
    2. How you move your body each day.
    3. The quality of your sleep.
    4. Your stress levels.

If you've been stuck in the cycle of starting over every Monday, this episode is for you. My hope is that by the end of today's conversation, you'll have a fresh perspective on what really supports lasting weight loss—and you'll feel encouraged to work with your body instead of constantly fighting against it.

And if you're looking for more encouragement and support, I'd love for you to join our free Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free. Come connect with other women who are learning to pursue health without obsession. I'd love to see you there!

  • 427. Faith Filled Friday: Become the Woman God Created You to Be - Start Living It Now!
    Jun 26 2026

How many times have you told yourself, "I just need more discipline"?

Maybe you've thought, "If I could just have more self-control, I'd finally stay consistent." Or perhaps you've found yourself believing, "One day I'll finally become the woman God wants me to be."

So you keep striving. You try harder. You start over again. You promise yourself that this time will be different.

But what if the problem isn't that you're not trying hard enough?

What if you've been spending so much time trying to become someone that God already says you are?

As Christian women, it's easy to live in a constant state of striving—trying to earn confidence, prove our worth, find peace, lose the weight, overcome food struggles, or finally feel "good enough." We often believe that once we reach a certain goal, then we'll become confident, free, disciplined, or worthy.

But that's not how God works.

Scripture teaches us that our identity isn't something we earn. It's something we've already been given through Christ.

You are not striving to become loved—you already are. You are not striving to become worthy—you already are. You are not striving to become God's daughter—you already are.

The transformation you're longing for doesn't begin with more effort. It begins with believing what God says is already true about you and learning to live from that identity instead of constantly striving for it.

In today's episode, we're talking about how to realign your mindset with God's truth so you can stop living from a place of fear, shame, and striving, and start walking in the freedom, peace, and confidence God has already made available to you.

Because lasting change doesn't come from trying harder—it comes from living from the identity you've already been given in Christ.

I pray this episode encourages you and reminds you of who you truly are.

And if you'd like additional support, want to go deeper, or simply need prayer, I'd love to hear from you. You can email me at taraj@dietditching.com.

  • 426. Can You Lose Weight Without Tracking Macros? 3 Keys to Freedom Beyond Macros
    Jun 22 2026

Have you ever wondered, "Am I supposed to track macros for the rest of my life?"

Maybe tracking macros has been incredibly helpful for you. It taught you about portion sizes, helped you hit your protein goals, and maybe even played a role in helping you lose weight. But at some point, you may have started to wonder:

"What happens if I stop tracking?" "Can I trust myself around food without an app?" "Will I gain all the weight back?"

What started as a helpful tool can sometimes become something you feel dependent on.

Or maybe you're on the other side of the fence. You've heard everyone talking about macros, you're curious whether you should track them, and you're wondering if it's the missing piece you've been looking for.

In today's episode, we're having an honest conversation about macro tracking—without the extremes. This isn't about bashing macros. In fact, I think they can be an incredibly valuable educational tool. They can teach you a lot about nutrition and help create awareness around your eating habits.

But if your goal is to become healthy without becoming obsessed, there comes a point where you need to ask yourself an important question:

Is this helping me build freedom around food, or is it feeding fear around food?

Today, I'm sharing three reasons why tracking macros indefinitely may not be the best long-term strategy for every woman, especially if you're striving for a healthy relationship with food while still pursuing your health goals.

And if you're ready to build healthy habits, learn how to nourish your body, and feel confident making food choices without needing to track every bite forever, I'd love to help. You can email me at taraj@dietditching.com.

    Jun 19 2026

Have you ever felt like you've tried every diet, every meal plan, and every strategy, yet you still struggle with food, body image, or find yourself starting over every Monday?

What if the breakthrough you're looking for isn't another nutrition plan, but a deeper connection with God?

In today's episode, we're talking about how to invite God into your health journey through prayer. Because prayer doesn't just have the power to transform your habits—it has the power to transform your heart.

So often, we focus on changing our behaviors while overlooking the deeper struggles underneath them. But lasting freedom isn't found in more willpower or self-control alone. So many women blame themselves for struggling with food, cravings, overeating, or constantly starting over. But the issue isn't a lack of discipline. It's often years of under-fueling, over-restricting, constantly trying to lose weight, and never feeling fully at peace around food.

Today, we're talking about the real reasons healthy eating feels so hard and why your body may actually be responding exactly the way it was designed to. • 423. Fit Tip Friday: Eating More Can Actually Help You Lose Fat - 3 Reasons You're Stuck
    Jun 12 2026

If you've been trying to lose weight for months—or maybe even years—your first instinct is probably this:

    "I need to eat less."

Less calories. Less carbs. Less treats. Less food overall.

After all, that's what we've been told, right? If weight loss is the goal, then eating less must be the answer.

And while it's true that a calorie deficit is necessary for fat loss, many women have taken that message to an unhealthy extreme.

    They're constantly dieting.

    Skipping meals.

Trying to survive on the lowest calories possible.

Starting over every Monday with a brand-new plan and a fresh wave of motivation.

Yet somehow, despite all that effort, the scale barely moves.

Or maybe it drops for a little while, only to come right back.

And then the frustration sets in.

Because you're doing everything you think you're supposed to do, but by the end of the week you're exhausted, hungry, craving everything in sight, and the weekends completely unravel all the progress you tried so hard to make.

So today, we're talking about a truth that many women desperately need to hear:

Sometimes the reason you're struggling to lose fat isn't because you're eating too much.

It's because you've been eating too little for too long.

Now, that doesn't mean calories don't matter.

And it certainly isn't permission to eat whatever you want whenever you want.

But it is permission to stop believing that less is always better.

Because sustainable fat loss requires more than simply eating as little as possible. Your body needs nourishment. It needs consistency. It needs enough fuel to support your metabolism, your energy, your workouts, and your overall health.

When you're constantly underfed, it's often harder—not easier—to create the consistency that leads to lasting results.

So if you've been stuck in the cycle of restriction, overeating, guilt, and starting over, this episode is for you.

And if you're ready for personalized guidance on how to fuel your body well while still working toward your weight-loss goals, I'd love to help.

You can email me at TaraJ@dietditching.com, and we can talk about what that looks like for you.

And don't forget to join our Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free, where you'll find support, encouragement, and women who are learning how to pursue health without living on another diet.

    I'm so glad you're here.

Belly fat is one of the most searched health topics online. And honestly, that's not surprising. So many women are frustrated because they've tried everything they can think of and still aren't seeing the results they want.

The problem is that the fitness industry has become incredibly good at selling quick fixes.

Detox teas. Fat-burning supplements. Waist trainers. Thirty-day challenges. Cutting out entire food groups. The latest "secret" method that promises to melt belly fat fast.

But here's the question: If those things actually worked long-term, would you still be searching for answers?

    Probably not.

The truth is, most of those approaches create temporary results at best. They leave you feeling frustrated, discouraged, and wondering what's wrong with you when the weight comes back or never leaves in the first place.

So today, I want to talk about the truth.

    No gimmicks.

    No magic tricks.

    No sugarcoating.

Just the truth about what it really takes to lose belly fat and improve your health.

Because if you're serious about seeing lasting results, there are some things you're going to have to stop doing. There are also some things you're finally going to have to start doing consistently.

It means focusing on the habits that actually move the needle and letting go of the things that keep you stuck in the cycle of starting over.

So if you're tired of wasting time on shortcuts and you're ready to focus on what truly works, stick with me because we're going to cover it all today.

  • 421. Faith Filled Friday: How to Stop Thinking About Food ALL Day & Renew Your Mind
    Jun 5 2026

Do you ever feel like food is constantly taking up space in your mind?

Maybe you're thinking about what you ate earlier, what you should eat next, what you shouldn't eat, or whether you've been "good" enough today. Maybe you're already promising yourself that tomorrow will be different—that you'll finally get back on track.

If that sounds familiar, I want you to know you're not alone.

So many women spend their days mentally consumed by food, calories, body image, and the pressure to get everything right. It can feel exhausting. And the more you try to control it, the more food seems to control you.

But what if freedom isn't found in thinking about food more? What if it isn't found in stricter rules, greater willpower, or trying harder to be disciplined?

The truth is that real transformation begins in the mind.

Scripture teaches us that lasting change happens from the inside out. When our minds are renewed with God's truth, everything else begins to change. We stop being driven by fear. We stop making decisions from guilt and shame. We stop obsessing over food and start living with greater peace, purpose, and freedom.

Today, we're talking about how to stop letting food consume your thoughts and how to renew your mind with God's truth so you can develop a healthier relationship with food, your body, and ultimately with Him.

Because freedom isn't just about what you're eating. It's about what you're believing.

And if you're looking for additional support on your journey, I'd love to connect with you. You can email me at taraj@dietditching.com.

Also, be sure to join our Facebook community, Lose Weight Live Free, where you'll find encouragement, support, and other women pursuing health without being consumed by food and body struggles.
