In Local Knowledge: Spending time with Australian Aborigines, writer Jennifer Grimwade shares her collection of stories written over many decades working in remote areas of Australia with her partner, travel photographer Peter Scott, trying to learn about, and therefore understand better, the Aborigines who have inhabited Australia for an estimated 60,000 years. This podcast was produced with a desire to to show Jennifer’s respect and enjoyment of spending time with Australia's indigenous inhabitants. Writer, Jennifer Grimwade and photographer/illustrator, Peter Scott are a serious travel publicity team; they have covered a number of different assignments in Australia and overseas, and over the years have worked hard trying to promote Aboriginal cultural tourism. Jennifer Grimwade has many years experience as a writer and since the end of the 70's has worked freelance. She has two books published: Travel Well, A Health Guide for Travellers, Random House and The Body of Knowledge, Heinemann.
