If Anytune is displaying duplicate or different playlists than those shown in Apple's Music app, there may be inconsistencies within Apple Music’s internal database. Unfortunately, these issues can be difficult to correct. In the past, users have resolved them by rebuilding their Apple Music library or after updating macOS.
You may try rebuilding your music library. This process can eliminate database-related issues, but it carries risks if not done carefully.
If you are using Sync Library, your Apple Music content, playlists, and iTunes Store purchases should re-sync to the new library. However, please be aware of the following:
- Metadata loss: Play counts, star ratings, and custom artwork may not be restored.
- Playlist loss: If Sync Library was disabled and you didn’t export your playlists, they will be lost.
- Sync conflicts: If iCloud has outdated or mismatched data, you may need to manually resolve duplicates or incorrect items.
- Loss of Match/Upload status: Matched or uploaded songs may need to be reprocessed by Apple Music.
