Welcome back to a classic episode that features the kids of Little House at their best! This episode has it all, intrigue, money and riches and ......murder!!! Or at least the threat of murder around every corner according to Laura.

Laura and a little friend we will never see again believe they have found a cache of gold in the creek. They plan on panning for it all and keeping their newfound riches to themselves; but there will be signs. One of the signs would happen to be a real life My Little Pony team of horses and Cinderella's castle where the Ingalls will live.

We also discuss Sarah's cancer diagnosis, pie and other childhood memories.

The Ingalls take leaf peeping to a new level as Charles plans a trip for the kids to collect leaves during MEA. Unfortunately, Harriet decides her family needs to horn in on the plans and join them. The Olesons pack their carpet bags and hike all the way to the Sierra mountains to fish, collect leaves and do some impromptu white water rafting.

Meanwhile, Sarah and Emily discuss their family's first CD player and their impressive CD collection.

Laura suffers a tragical event because no one will take her to a spring dance. She has her sights set on a boy with a bowl cut but she has to use Willie in order for her plan t work. Meanwhile, Grace is upset because Mr. Edwards hasn't asked her to the dance either. This means it's time for Ma and her "women's wiles!"

Sarah and Emily also talk about streusel topping and give themselves a pass from the next two episodes since they deal with cancer.

In this episode Laura befriends another older gentleman and decides it is her life's work to teach old men a lesson. Laura befriends a man who supposedly lives in a haunted house, which turns out he does not. He does however, live in a giant mansion on the edge of town with only his memories of a beautiful lady. No one sees it coming that the lady he is waiting for is dead!!!!

Welcome back after our summer hiatus! We discuss all things cabin-y and Emily's recent adventure at the family cabin where she had to save her mother's life. We eventually get around to talking about the episode but since it was all about baseball it didn't really hold our attention.

In this episode Pa and the rest of the Walnut Grove minor league baseball players need to find a new pitcher since they are going up against the Sleepy Eye Green Stockings and Slick McBirney who is a sleazy huckster with a handlebar mustache and a gold chain. Mr. Edwards fashions himself a baseball mitt using a flour sack and some meat jerky and Nels shows a little athleticism.

A wealthy man moves to Walnut Grove and his name is Ebenezer (or as the young folks spell it, Y'Bneezyr. And with a name like that you know what kind of person he is. ) All Laura wants is a best friend in the form of an angry 65 year old man who fishes and she gets it, kinda. Pa needs a bank loan despite the fact he's always preached cash on the barrel, but he supposes it's high time he join the rest of America and wants to take out a loan. Meanwhile, Ma is worried that the school children don't have textbooks to read and since this is America and the American education system, it is up to the teacher and the parents to provide for their children. Some things never change.

Sarah and Emily also discuss how we will know who really killed Jon'Benet Ramsey and their thoughts on the Karen Read verdict.

It's the beginning of the end for Mary as everyone but her realizes she can't see a damn thing on the chalkboard at school. She gets to pick out a stylish pair of glasses from Shopko Optical in Mankato, but will she wear them? It depends. Will she still be able to find a beau if she has Four Eyes? Also, the children of Walnut Grove gang up on Mary and come up with the weakest attempts at bullying and can literally come top with no better insult than calling her Four Eyes.

Sarah and Emily discuss the demise of their childhood toilet and all the writing it inspired and also consider putting Swaz in HR on a PIP but ultimately decide not to since that might just be what Swaz wants.
