The whole country fell in love with her during this year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! — and just before she headed into the jungle, Matt and Christine sat down with national treasure (and proud Yorkshire lass!) Lisa Riley, who is celebrating 30 unforgettable years as Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale.

In the brand new series of Yorkshire Talks, Lisa is her wonderfully honest, no-holds-barred self. She reflects on three decades as part of one of Britain’s most iconic TV families, her breakout roles in much-loved shows like Fat Friends, and how she became one of the most recognisable faces on British television.

Lisa opens up about defying expectations on Strictly Come Dancing, where she became a fan favourite and finished as runner-up. She also shares stories from her time hosting the primetime classic You’ve Been Framed, stepping confidently into the spotlight as a presenter.

In a deeply emotional part of the conversation, Lisa talks about losing her beloved mum Cath, her best friend and constant cheerleader. She reveals the beautiful song that continues to hold a special place in her heart. Lisa also discusses facing online trolling about her weight, and how she eventually found the mindset and lifestyle that made her feel happy, healthy, and confident on her own terms.
