Shamgar had an ox goad. Joshua Wooden had a card with seven lines on it. Neither one looked like much. But God has never been bothered by bad odds.

Jesus said, "Each day has enough trouble of its own" (Matthew 6:34). Don't worry about tomorrow's score. Just be faithful with what's in your hand today.

You may only get one verse. But one verse, lived faithfully, can deliver a nation. And one father, faithful in the quiet, can change the world.

"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide, we might have hope." (Romans 15:4)

Everything written was written for us. For hope. That's why we need stories. Not just any stories — true stories. Stories of real people who face real darkness and found that God was real in the middle of it. People who didn't have easy answers but held onto an unshakeable God.

Because the same God who supplied forgiveness in a Munich church basement will supply whatever you need today. A true story of how difficult forgiveness can be.
