 In this study, we consider the message of Jesus Christ to the church of Philadephia. In His introduction to this church, Jesus refers to His character and authority; both of which point to His deity. Jesus then commends this church unlike any of the other churches; He does not have a rebuke for them. Rather He gives them, as an assembly, two promises which can be summarized as: 'I will promote you and preserve you.' To individuals, He promises: 'To him who overcomes, I will make a pillar in the temple of My God.' This message was presented on Sunday, February 22, 2009 by Bob Corbin.
