In this eerie tale, James, grieving the loss of his son Nathan, embarks on a desperate journey to bring him back from the dead on Halloween night. Following cryptic instructions given by a mysterious man named Nick, James breaks into the mausoleum where Nathan's body rests. He performs a ritual involving candles, anointing oil, and reciting incantations. As James loses hope, a portal to purgatory opens, revealing Nathan's face. However, Nick, revealed to be a demonic entity, manipulates James, informing him that the evil within purgatory will claim him if he steps through. James confronts Nick, distracting him by setting his son's body on fire. In the ensuing chaos, James is mortally wounded by the demon but finds solace knowing his son will be safe. As James succumbs to his injuries, the demon warns that other malevolent beings will torment Nathan in purgatory. The story ends with James passing away, satisfied that he saved his son from further suffering.
