We take you to Comiskey Park in Chicago for a stellar outdoor card. This is an AWA specific show but it's loaded with talent from the Pro Wrestling USA roster to give it an epic feel. We cover the Light Heavyweight, Women's and NWA Midget title matches before closing out with an incredibly entertaining IWA Championship defence as Mil Mascaras takes on Freebird Buddy Roberts. Geoff tells us about the Macho MANitoban being recruited into the Council of Machos and much more...

It's the other half of our final journey to set up SuperClash 1985! We continue with Rick Martel's impressive list of challengers, we talk a bit about Pro Wrestling USA and we circle back for 80's nostalgia keystone event. It's the April 19th Pro Wrestling USA show at the Meadowlands and we have THE match. It's a 6-man brawl pitting all 3 Fabulous Freebirds against the High Flyers and the Tonga Kid. Scratching that Highlander itch 40 years after the fact. Strap in it's a fun ride.

We continue on our path to SuperClash with a focus on our French Canadian Champion Rick Martel. Nick Bockwinkel takes on the challenge of a fresh faced Tom Zenk and the show kicks off with a high point in the Pro Wrestling USA run with "Sarge's Hunt for the Gold". It's everyone's favourite GI Joe vs the kiss stealing, wheeling dealing son of a gun NWA Worlds Heavyweight champion Ric Flair.

We had to cut this show in two so a follow up Part B is coming soon.

We've returned after a long break for a very special edition of the show. It's our 100th episode! We're going back to our roots as we travel to 1985 AWA action and the "Pro Wrestling USA" venture that sought to combine the forces of the territories to battle the invasion of Vince McMahon's WWF juggernaut. We follow the Road Warriors, AWA Champ Rick Martel & the Freebirds through some great action leading us towards the first SuperClash event! Geoff catches us up on the results from his summer tour of "Randy & Elizabeth: A Savage Love Story". Spread the word LWO is back!

The podcast is still on summer hiatus so we are releasing our second ever recording. It's the Nov-22nd 1986 episode of Superstars of Wrestling. This show has the iconic IC title defence of the Macho Man vs the Dragon and the ring bell shot that led to the greatest match of all time. It also has a fun 6-man tag match, the Vote of Confidence for the Honkytonk Man & some comedy with Outback Jack. This is a great companion piece to our 1986 fall coverage for WWF.

We'll be back mid-September for our 100th Episode and a look at the fall of 1985 in the AWA as we lead up to SuperClash The Night of Champions!

The spring of 1988 kicks of the world title reign of the Macho Man Randy Savage. Hot on his trail is #1 contender the villainous Ted DiBiase. The house show tour is full of head to head matches but on TV it's his body guard Virgil that will step in the ring. Jake the Snake is on the hunt for Rick Rude, but he has time for a classic match vs Greg Valentine and Bobby and Gorilla fight over the new set on Prime Time.

Note: this show will be our last before a little summer hiatus for the "Randy & Elizabeth: A Savage Love Story" Fringe Tour. We'll return later in August as we march towards our 100th Episode!

It's the conclusion of the tag team tournament, One Million dollars is on the line... who is going to take home the cash? The Midnight Rider looks for revenge against the brains of the Horsemen JJ Dillon in a Bullrope Match; the semis, a world title defense against a leaner and quicker Nikita Koloff and of course the finals of the tournament. All that action plus some discussion on the upcoming CWE Rumble on the Rail event and the new season of Dark Side of the Ring.

The hot action from rounds 2 & 3 are on display. The #1 seeded Horsemen are in action, the new super hero team of Luger and Sting battle some grizzled veterans, the Road Warriors look to terrorize the Jive Tones, the Fantastics battle the dangerous combo of Al Perez and Zbyszko. The Midnight Express are forced into a heel vs heel match with the Sheepherders in a confusing error in the bracket. Plus what we can see of Round 3 including a clash of the two most powerful teams in wrestling.
