Scripture: 2 Corinthians 1:8-11, Philippians 4:14-20, 1 Peter 1:3-9

I want to thank all of you for your warm and enthusiastic welcoming of Pastor Luis Elias and Pastora Adita this week. You will probably never know how encouraging your friendship was to them. They headed home today tired but very happy with renewed strength for their ministry. Pastor Luis told me that he has so many new ideas to contemplate and maybe incorporate into his ministry. He also told me that the members of Iglesia Unción y Fuego always hold us up in prayer, particularly during their visit this week. I think we all experienced how God is using the partnership in ministry to benefit the members of both churches, and encourage us to reach out to friends, family and neighbors to share the Good News of God’s love and the offer of Salvation through faith in Jesus. Praise God for bringing us together and for showing us in a very real way how we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. May God bless each of you for your support of Costa Rica Missions.

We today are a storytelling people. It's been said that we're made of flesh and blood and bones, but we're really made of stories. That's what people remember about us - the stories we live and the stories we tell. Looking at how we can use our stories and storytelling to share our faith in Jesus, Pastor Yonker will help us investigate how to better tell others about His story of love, grace, and salvation.

As we enter into the season of Lent and prepare to celebrate Easter, its a great time to pause and remember just how powerful the forgiveness of God is. So bring all you sin, shame and brokenness as our Sunday morning sermon series explores the freedom that comes in Jesus. In our midweek worship we will spend time reflecting on the life of Peter. He too struggled with forgiveness and shame but upon his confession of Jesus as the Christ, God would build his church. So, join us as we explore our scars and engage in the healing forgiveness of Jesus this Lent.
