Chapter 35 – Obnoxiously* Cute Puppy

*The published title of this chapter is ‘Stupid Cute Puppy’. In the recording, I read the title as it was published. I wrote this book years ago, before I was aware that ‘stupid’ is a word that a) can be offensive and b) often shows up when there are far better choices to be made, prose-wise.

At this stage, I am not going to go back and remove all instances of the word in the original text, as I believe the best way to handle these things is usually to learn and move forward with awareness and grace. Far better for me to write with more mindfulness and publish new books that reflect better choices than constantly try to keep up with editing the past.

Stories typically reflect the time in which they were written. Hopefully, they show us our growth and progress.
