WHAT are these people doing? They've carefully (SO carefully) stowed their shopping, tucked little Baby On Board into the cryocapsule, turned the car on, and put it in reverse. Now they're not moving. Those white lights tell the world that they're ready to back over some slow-moving fellow shoppers, but nothing is happening. YOU have been blocking up Xmas car park traffic for seven straight minutes now. The queue stretches well past the boomgate. A fellow car park shopper is fogging your back window with their meaty breath, unwilling to defy the laws of indicator-means-my-park, but Jesus Mary Joseph and at least four camels: WHY won't they move?? Are they on a call? Having a stroke? Reading a book? Listening to their favourite car-based podcast?

Just as the winners write the history books, so do they hang little pine trees (or scented rappers' faces) around the rearview mirrors of the cars made by the losers. Because those losers of wars build some amazing cars. And those cars start to, you know, take on a bit of their own distinctive musk. Nothing pungent, but definitely evocative.

It's been a while since something like this has happened - I swear! Normally, we just go for a quickie to fill in the need and make a big effort later on when bloody work isn't so busy, and we all know what that's like, right?

Talking about podcasting here. Trying the clever little switcharoo to cover up for a particularly dry dry-spell, and we are certainly not above including the word "sex" in the episode title to vacuum in a little more interest.
