À propos de ce contenu audio

It Came From The Basement started as a weekly radio show for Rutgers station 90.3 The Core and showcased local music coming from New Jersey and beyond. Now that it's host Jordan Adragna, (AKA DJ Tall Guy) has graduated, he has taken the show to tourworthy.com in podcast form to continue his passion for connecting artists with a new audience. Tune in once a month to hear interviews with bands and artists that are still grinding in basements, clubs, and living rooms.© 2024 Jordan Adragna Musique

Hi! It sure has been a while since I’ve done one of these, and I’m thrilled to be back with my good friend Eric Palermo to talk about his recent debut album For Vanity Purposes available now wherever you get your music. Eric has been a prominent member of the scene for many years, throwing crazy basement shows at his childhood home and road warrioring with his gothic melodic hardcore band Dumpweed. For the last few years though, Eric has delved even deeper into the goth scene rebranding as Eric Raven and putting out a slew of pummeling club tracks that blend dark gothic synth textures with catastrophic metalcore catharsis. On this episode we discussed his new album For Vanity Purposes, the north eastern tour he just returned from promoting the album, and some philosophical queries that come with being a musician in a music community. Thank you for taking the time to check out this episode of It Came From The Basement, even if it was just for vanity purposes.

RIYL: Twin Tribes, Creux Lies, The Cure

I recently had the pleasure of hanging out with Boston synth-pop outfit House of Harm before their Synthecide appearance at St. Vitus. A band that beautifully toes the line between brooding and shimmering, their songs range from longing motivational pop sugar to brooding cynical goth ragers. We spoke about their experience in the Massachusetts DIY scene, songwriting influences, and more.
