  • Episode 4 - Hold the Line!
    Jun 22 2026

The term "boundaries" is used a lot, but sometimes it's like the word "inconceivable;" sometimes it doesn't mean what you think it means. When someone violates your boundaries, getting pissed off is a natural reaction, but what happens when a person is vague on the idea of what boundaries are and how to hold them? This week, Jeff (Social Work) and Anastasiia (Marriage and Family Therapy) read stories about times when they were pushed past their limit and harmed by another person's behavior. Being kind is one thing, but feeling taken advantage of is another, even if your motivations are the same; seriously, it's not you, it's them. Going through life without strong boundaries truly is... inconceivable.

  • Episode 3 - Say "Liar" in Italian
    Jun 15 2026

Welcome back, and thank you all for coming to the couch!

Today's stories are about liars and the lies they tell. It's when someone lies because it can affect an entire relationship, and rarely (if ever) have good results--from the big bombshell lies like cheating to little hand grenade lies like throwing away sandwiches your spouse sent you to work with, dishonesty breeds mistrust.

Today, Jeff (Social Worker) and Eden (Marriage and Family Therapist) react to and break down four stories about lies and withholding the truth from others.

TLDR: Lying hurts people, so probably don't.

  • Episode 2 - Siblings and Smooth Jazz
    Jun 8 2026

    Welcome back to the couch!

Having a hard time with siblings is a nearly universal issue, but some issues are much more complicated than others. There are good times when we laugh together, but there are times when there is so much friction that we become miserable. Whether it's a response to parenting or each other, they are often able to find our insecurities, push our buttons, and just make us mad as hell. It's not always intentional, but damage can still be done.

We've got four stories today, which all focus on siblings and sibling relationships. There is mild discussion of financial abuse by a parent, but no severe content warnings in this episode.

Joining Jeff Diamond (SSW), today's guest is Ryan Parry (LMFT), who frequently uses Emotionally-focused Therapy (EFT) to examine relational issues.
