On October 25th, 1979, Miami police and firefighters walked into the Miami Aerospace Academy in Little Havana and found hundreds of cadets in full panic.A 13-year-old girl rigid and sobbing that "the devil is inside of me," other pupils growling and twitching, a boy who crashed through a second-floor window and got straight back up, classroom doors torn from hinges, and teachers unable to hold order. She began seeing faceless figures, an elderly man in an armchair, a figure striding toward her in the garden, later a faceless child in her bedroom. The atmosphere turned cold and silent, like stepping underwater. Her father asked a local imam to perform an Islamic exorcism. As he recited, Zaynab began shaking uncontrollably, filled with anger and an urge to make him stop.Months later, builders lifting the carpets found several crucifixes hidden underneath.
