  • The Stage Is Ours – Real Voices, Real Issues
    Jan 10 2026

Welcome to the very first episode of The Stage Is Ours, a podcast by the Niamh Kelleher School of Drama, where young voices take centre stage.

In this debut episode, drama teacher Niamh Kelleher and her students come together to talk honestly about the challenges young people face today. From personal safety and self-defence, to disability and inclusion, school pressure, homework, bullying, mental health, and the impact of social media, these conversations are thoughtful, brave, and real.

The students also share creative work, personal experiences, and their hopes and fears about the future — discussing what Ireland might look like in 5, 10, and even 20 years’ time. This episode is a powerful reminder that young people have important perspectives that deserve to be heard.

The Stage Is Ours is a space for expression, creativity, confidence, and conversation — where kids and teenagers speak openly about the world they’re growing up in.
