Good afternoon. New Jersey. I'm Aaron Jolly. If you stepped outside this morning and thought "Did someone leave the faucet on?" — yeah, that was the sky. Rain's been falling since dawn. And it's not done with us yet. In the next 24 hours. Here's what's happening. A front stalled out over the Mid-Atlantic. And low pressure systems are sliding along it like beads on a string. The first wave soaked us this morning. The second arrives tonight, bringing heavier rain and gusty northeast winds up to 25 miles an hour along the coast. North Jersey sits at 42 degrees right now. Rain continues through tonight, dropping you to 37 degrees with patchy fog rolling in. Friday stays cloudy with a high near 44 degrees. Central Jersey hits 45 degrees this afternoon. Tonight brings widespread fog and heavier downpours, bottoming out at 37 degrees. Friday climbs to 46 degrees under gray skies. South Jersey reaches 47 degrees today with fog developing. Tonight's low hits 38 degrees as rain moves back in. Friday brings mostly cloudy conditions and a high near 44 degrees. By Friday morning, most areas pick up one to one and a half inches of rain. Watch for ponding in poor drainage spots, but flash flooding isn't expected. Now for the good news. Saturday starts cloudy but climbs into the 50s as warmer air finally breaks through. Showers return Saturday night. Sunday brings the big warmup — low 60s for most with partly sunny skies. Monday stays mild and dry around 60 degrees. Tuesday and Wednesday? Even better. Highs push into the low 70s inland. Keep the umbrella handy today. Spring's waiting just around the corner. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
