Good afternoon. Missouri. I'm Aaron Jolly. That drizzle you woke up to? Already done. We soaked up over half an inch overnight. And now thick fog is hanging around through mid-morning before it burns off. In the next 24 hours. Western Missouri climbs to 65 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Eastern Missouri hits 67. Southwest Missouri? You're the warm spot at 69 degrees, with a slight chance of showers popping up after 2 P.M. but tonight. That's when things get interesting. Rain and thunderstorms fire up after 9 P.M. Across western Missouri as a warm front lifts north. Eastern Missouri sees storms roll in after midnight. Lows hold in the upper 50s — unusually mild — with gusty south winds picking up. Friday morning starts wet, then we catch a break. Highs jump to the mid to upper 70s. Fifteen degrees warmer than normal for early March. But here's what you need to know. Friday evening into Saturday morning brings a serious severe weather threat. Damaging winds up to 70 miles an hour. Large hail. Tornadoes possible. Central and northeastern Missouri face the highest risk. This isn't a drill, folks. Saturday brings lingering morning showers, then clearing. Highs in the 50s and 60s. Sunday rebounds to the 60s with sunshine. Monday warms back to the upper 70s. Then Tuesday into Wednesday, another storm system rolls through with heavy rain and more severe weather potential. Tonight's full moon rises under stormy skies. You won't see it, but it's up there somewhere. Stay weather-aware tomorrow evening. Have multiple ways to get warnings. This system is packing a punch. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
