Good morning. Utah. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside right now and you might think spring has already won. We're sitting at a comfortable 35 degrees under clear skies. But enjoy this taste of sunshine. Because a classic Utah rebound is coming. In the next 24 hours. Today tells two different stories across the state. The Wasatch Front climbs to 61 degrees this afternoon — that's running about 18 degrees warmer than usual. Down in St. George, you're looking at a gorgeous 74. If you head up into the mountains, it's a cooler 52, but still plenty pleasant for a hike. The calm ends tonight. A cold front sweeps through after 8 P.M. Rain mixes with snow along the Wasatch Front by 11 P.M., continuing overnight as temperatures drop to 34 degrees. Up in the mountains, snow starts falling around 8 P.M. and really picks up intensity. Expect 1 to 3 inches by morning, with wind chills feeling like 20 degrees at daybreak. Thursday brings the real impact. Valley locations along the Wasatch Front top out at just 44 degrees with rain and snow likely. The mountains get hammered — another 2 to 4 inches during the day. There's a Winter Storm Watch in effect for the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains. We're talking total accumulations of 8 to 14 inches, up to 20 inches in the Cottonwoods, through Friday afternoon. Southern Utah stays mild with 59 degrees and just a slight chance of rain on Thursday. Friday lingers with scattered snow showers in the north before we dry out for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday look sunny with highs rebounding to the upper 40s and 50s along the Wasatch Front. By Monday, we're back to 64 degrees. Tonight's full moon will shine bright before clouds roll in. And we're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight every day now — the spring equinox is just two weeks away. Charge those phones and grab an extra layer tonight. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
