Good evening. Tennessee. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you might think we skipped straight into May. We're sitting at 72 degrees under blue skies, running a solid 53 degrees above normal. It's unseasonably warm, folks. And records could fall before this week is over. In the next 24 hours. Let's take a quick tour of the state. Down in West Tennessee, you're waking up to 65 degrees. Keep that umbrella handy tonight, though. Thunderstorms roll through between 7 and 10 P.M. and a few could pack some gusty winds. Thursday stays toasty with a high near 79 degrees and more storm chances. Middle Tennessee sits at 64 degrees this morning. You'll see mostly cloudy skies tonight with a low around 64. Tomorrow warms up to 79 degrees, but rain showers develop after 9 A.M. and linger through the afternoon. Watch out for south winds gusting to 25 miles an hour. Over in East Tennessee, you're the cool spot at 53 degrees. But you stay dry through tomorrow. Partly sunny skies Thursday push temperatures to 79 degrees. Southwest winds gust to 25 miles an hour by midday. Looking ahead. Friday peaks near 83 degrees in some spots. That could challenge records. Then a cold front arrives Saturday, bringing showers and thunderstorms statewide. Rain chances stick around through early next week with highs cooling into the 70s. Tonight's full moon rises at sunset. With clear skies over eastern areas, it will be a bright one. We're also gaining over two minutes of daylight each day now. Spring equinox is just two weeks away.
