Good morning. Kentucky. I'm Aaron Jolly. That drizzle tapping your window? It's about to get louder. A Flood Watch is up until 1 P.M. For areas hugging the Ohio River. We've already soaked up a quarter inch. And more is coming. In the next 24 hours. North Central Kentucky sits at 61 degrees right now. Thunderstorms roll through today, peaking around 10 A.M. — so grab that umbrella for your morning drive. Highs hit 69 with gusts to 23 miles an hour. Central Kentucky gets the same treatment. Storms fire up late morning, winds gust to 28. And you top out near 69. South Central Kentucky starts warmer at 64. Your morning stays quiet, but storms develop by midday. Highs climb to 74 with those same gusty winds hitting 28 miles an hour. Eastern Kentucky has the wildest ride today. You start at 55 under mostly cloudy skies. Storms hold off until afternoon, but here's the kicker. When the sun breaks through, you could hit 79 degrees. That's roughly 46 degrees above normal for early March. Shed the jacket. Tonight, lows settle in the upper 50s to low 60s under mostly cloudy skies. And look up — it's a full moon. Here's the rest of your week. Friday brings a break in the rain and temperatures that could challenge records. Highs surge into the low 80s. Because Saturday delivers another round of storms. Some could be strong to severe as a cold front barrels through. Sunday cools back into the 60s with lingering showers. Keep the weather radio handy this weekend.
