Good morning. Tennessee. I'm Aaron Jolly. Sixty-eight degrees was the low last night. Not the high. The low. Your bedroom probably felt like July. And honestly, I don't blame you if you kicked off the covers. In the next 24 hours. We're running almost 52 degrees warmer than normal for early March. And today we're gunning for records. Middle Tennessee woke up at 64 under gray skies. A few showers and rumbles might roll through north of I-40 this morning, then we break into partly sunny skies. By afternoon, you hit 79 degrees — that's knocking on the door of Nashville's record high. Tonight drops to 60 under partly cloudy skies. West Tennessee sits at 66 right now. Showers and storms drift through until midday, then we dry out. High reaches 79. Tonight stays mild at 63 with partly cloudy skies. East Tennessee starts cooler at 54, but the mountains stay dry today. Partly sunny skies warm you to 78 with southwest winds gusting to 25 miles an hour by afternoon. Tonight settles to 57. Here's the week ahead. Friday is spectacular — 82 degrees statewide with sunshine. Saturday flips the script. Showers and thunderstorms roll in, especially out west where an inch or more of rain could fall. Sunday cools to the upper 60s with lingering showers. Next week stays warm and unsettled with daily storm chances. One quick note — tonight's full moon rises right at sunset. With temps in the 60s, it's a beautiful evening to step outside. We're gaining over two minutes of daylight each day now. Spring equinox is just two weeks away. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
