Welcome to a collaborative space for holistic health professionals and families across Indiana. This podcast is dedicated to connecting providers, empowering clients, and elevating conversations around whole-body wellness. Hosted from the heart of Indiana, this show highlights the powerful intersection of myofunctional therapy and lactation consulting—my two specialties that profoundly impact airway health, feeding, oral development, and long-term wellness. Each episode brings together holistic providers, bodyworkers, dental professionals, birth workers, and wellness practitioners to foster meaningful collaboration and better outcomes for the families we serve. Through expert interviews, real-life case discussions, and practical education, we explore topics such as infant feeding challenges, tongue ties, oral function, breathing, sleep, and the vital role of early intervention. Whether you’re a provider looking to build referral relationships or a parent seeking root-cause, whole-person solutions, this podcast offers insight, connection, and actionable guidance. Together, we’re building a stronger, more integrated holistic health community in Indiana—one conversation at a time.Copyright Tina Reece

  • To release or not to release the tongue, that is the question
    Mar 1 2026
Not every tongue-tie causes problems — but when it does, it can affect: 1. Feeding (especially in babies)
    • Difficulty latching during breastfeeding
    • Clicking sounds while feeding
    • Poor weight gain
    • Maternal nipple pain
In infants, this is the most common reason doctors consider treatment. 2. Speech In some children, tongue-tie may affect pronunciation of sounds that require tongue elevation (like “t,” “d,” “l,” “r,” “th”).
However, many children with mild tongue-tie speak completely normally. 3. Oral health & function
    • Difficulty licking lips or clearing food from teeth
    • Gaps between lower front teeth
    • Trouble with certain oral movements (kissing, playing wind instruments)
Should it be done sooner rather than later? It depends on symptoms, not just appearance. 👶 In newborns If feeding problems are present, early treatment is often recommended because:
    • Feeding difficulties can affect growth
    • Early treatment is quick and simple
    • Babies usually heal very fast
