Welcome to our first episode of Bilingual Scripture, where Daijirou and Sean talk about the scripture in both Japanese and English. This week, we cover the topic of the fall of Adam and Eve, mentioning that it is not a tragedy or a "Plan B."
By stepping into mortality, we gained the essential opportunity to grow, exercise our agency, and learn from opposition. Instead of seeing the Garden of Eden as a lost paradise, we view the Fall as a necessary "fall forward" that makes the joy of redemption possible. We discuss how Adam and Eve’s choice allows us to experience the bittersweet nature of life, teaching us that our challenges are actually a divine classroom for progression. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we find hope and a way back to our Heavenly Father, transformed by our experiences.
