This is my experience in a Florida manufactured home community that was in the path of Hurricane Milton. As it turns out the big danger arrived before the hurricane in the form of tornadoes. Hurricane Milton made landfall on the West Coast of Florida late in the day on October 9, 2024. It crossed through Central Florida and exited across the Space Coast the next day. This is my story and my observations from preparation through cleanup and includes input I have received from parks across the state.
