  • Talking To Teens About Dating: Helping Your Kids Navigate Dating
    Oct 27 2026

How do you help your teenager or young adult navigate dating, relationships, and the search for the right person?

As parents, we want our kids to experience healthy, lasting relationships, but are we giving them the wisdom and guidance they need to get there?

In this episode of Home and Marriage, we unpack what we call the Cycle of Romantic Insanity—the unhealthy patterns that can lead young people from physical attraction to emotional attachment, heartbreak, and repeating the same mistakes with someone new.

We'll explore why chemistry isn't enough, why character and faith matter more than attraction alone, and how getting physically and emotionally involved too quickly can make it harder to recognize whether someone is truly a good fit.

Most importantly, we'll share a better approach to dating rooted in biblical wisdom. You'll learn how to help your teens and young adults ask the right questions, recognize the importance of shared faith and life goals, welcome trustworthy advice, and build relationships on a foundation stronger than feelings alone.

Whether your teenager is starting to date or your young adult is looking for a future spouse, this conversation will equip you to talk openly about relationships, offer wisdom without pushing your kids away, and point them toward God's design for love and marriage.

Because our kids don't just need warnings about what not to do. They need wisdom about what to look for.

    Oct 6 2026

Family can be beautiful, messy, complicated, and sometimes downright hard. In this episode, we talk honestly about what it takes to build a healthy family in the middle of real-life challenges.

Lennon and Christal share five practical, biblical principles for navigating family relationships: why every family faces spiritual opposition, why we need to let go of the pressure to have a perfect family, why parents have influence but not control, how your marriage sets the tone for your home, and why forgiveness and reconciliation are essential for families that go the distance.

Whether you're raising young children, navigating the teenage years, relating to adult children, or dealing with difficult family relationships, this conversation will encourage you to stop striving for perfection and start making room for God's grace.

Your family doesn't have to be perfect to be healthy. And sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for the people you love isn't lecture them—it's pray for them, love them, forgive them, and trust God with what you can't control.

  • 20 Lessons Learned In 20 Years Of Marriage
    Sep 29 2026

20 Things We’ve Learned in 20 Years of Marriage

Twenty years of marriage has taught us a lot—and some of those lessons we definitely didn’t see coming!

In this special anniversary episode, we’re celebrating 20 years of marriage by sharing 20 things we’ve learned along the way. Some are funny (like why we’re perfectly happy with our own sides of the bed!), while others are lessons we’ve learned through hard seasons, parenting, ministry, conflict, change, and simply growing older together.

We talk about why arguments aren’t the end of the world, why date nights are a lifeline for romance, how to stop making things harder than they need to be, why it’s okay to be different from your spouse, and how important it is to trust each other’s strengths and gifts.

We also get real about some of the things couples don’t always talk about—including aging, hormones, intimacy, parenting, forgiveness, prayer, encouragement, and learning when to let things go.

And as we look toward the empty-nest years, we share why we’re actually excited about the years ahead—and why we believe a good marriage is always worth the work.

Whether you’ve been married for two years or twenty, we hope this conversation encourages you to keep choosing each other, keep investing in your marriage, and remember that things can get better, love can grow deeper, and your marriage is worth fighting for.

Come celebrate 20 years with us—and maybe laugh a little along the way!

  • Is Your Phone Hurting Your Marriage?
    Sep 22 2026

Is Your Phone Hurting Your Marriage?

Your phone is always within reach—but is it coming between you and your spouse?

In this episode of the Home and Marriage podcast, we’re talking about a modern marriage problem that almost all of us have experienced: phubbing—when your phone gets more of your attention than the person sitting right in front of you.

We’ll talk honestly about how scrolling, texting, social media, work, and simply using our phones to “check out” can slowly replace meaningful conversations and connection with our spouse. We’ll also talk about the deeper issues that can be hiding behind excessive phone use, including stress, emotional disconnection, temptation, and the need to escape.

Together, we’ll ask four important questions:

    • Are you connecting with other people on your phone more than you connect with your spouse?
    • Are meaningful conversations becoming less common?
    • Is your phone becoming a doorway to temptation or secrecy?
    • Are you becoming easily irritated when your family interrupts your screen time?

But this episode isn’t about guilt—it’s about course correction. We’ll share practical ways to create phone-free moments, establish healthy boundaries, protect your marriage from temptation, and intentionally make room for real connection.

Because your spouse shouldn’t have to compete with your phone for your attention. Your marriage is worth putting the phone down for.

  • Fight FOR Your Marriage
    Sep 15 2026

Marriage is worth fighting for—but there’s a difference between fighting with your spouse and fighting for your marriage.

In this episode of Home and Marriage, Lennon and Christal explore what it means to pursue the marriage God designed, even when life gets difficult, disagreements pile up, and the love you once felt seems harder to find. A strong marriage doesn’t happen by accident. It requires faithfulness, intentionality, and a willingness to choose each other again and again.

Drawing from Scripture and real-life marriage experiences, this episode explores three essential things every couple needs to fight for:

    • Forgiveness: Learning to let go of offenses, address hurt in healthy ways, and extend the grace we’ve received from God.
    • Romance: Protecting the connection, affection, and intimacy that make marriage more than simply sharing a home.
    • Unity: Remembering that two have become one and choosing to pursue togetherness rather than allowing division to take over.

Whether your marriage is thriving, feeling just “fine,” or going through a difficult season, there is hope for something better. God provides the grace and strength we need to grow, reconnect, and build a marriage that reflects His design.

Your marriage is worth the effort. It’s worth the intentionality. And it’s worth the fight.

Listen in and discover how you and your spouse can stop fighting against each other and start fighting for your marriage.

  • Rest and Renewal: Why Couples Need a Rhythm of Rest
    Sep 8 2026

Are you tired of being tired? In a culture that often treats busyness like a badge of honor, rest can feel unproductive, selfish, or even impossible. But what if rest isn't a reward you earn after getting everything done—it’s a rhythm God designed us to live by?

In this episode of the Home and Marriage Podcast, we talk honestly about why so many of us struggle to rest and how constant busyness, being endlessly available, and even our phones can keep us from truly being refreshed. We’ll share three signs that you may be living a restless life and three practical ways to make rest a regular part of your life.

    We talk about:

    • Why weekends and vacations can't fix a lifestyle of constant busyness
    • How being constantly available can rob you of rest and presence
    • Why your phone and social media may not be as restful as you think
    • How to make rest a rhythm instead of a reward
    • The difference between recreation and simply numbing yourself
    • Why couples need hobbies, friendships, and intentional time to recharge
    • Why biblical rest is more than just the absence of work
    • How the presence of God brings the kind of rest our souls truly need

Most importantly, we’re reminded that rest is an act of trust. God doesn't need us to keep everything running. When we slow down, we acknowledge that He is God—and we are not.

If you're exhausted, overwhelmed, constantly “on,” or struggling to enjoy the people and life God has given you, this episode is an encouragement to slow down, make space for rest, and invite God into the process.

You don't have to earn your rest. You were created to receive it.
