Daniel Maggio is taking over hosting duties this week as he interviews Gabriel Diaz about his role in the film festival and his path to becoming a co-founder.

The Hemet Film Festival kicks off the day this is released, November 10th with a pre-party for filmmakers and all-access pass holders. The following day November 11th will be a jam-packed day of screenings from 12 pm to 9 pm.

Today we talk with another co-founder Stephen Siemens, Stephen is an artist who tells his stories in an animated universe called Mushboom. Professionally he is a Visual Effects Supervisor with the company, Mango FX, based in Santa Monica, CA. He has worked in this industry since 2017, when he began in a position at that same company. Stephen attended the University of California Riverside's business program, and he has an MFA in Film from the David Lynch School of Cinematic Arts in Fairfield, Iowa.  As an artist and animator, Stephen expresses himself through the hand-drawn characters and stories set in the Mushboom Universe.
