À propos de ce contenu audio

welcome to Hanging In The Hideout Podcast I’m Your host Hollywood. I’m an active duty Police Officer looking to break out from the daily stress of the social climate and the unrelenting politics that have infiltrated our way of enjoyment. I’m a huge fan of the way things used to be during the reign of Jay Leno, David Letterman and the family sitcoms. You can’t turn on a TV, get on social media or have a conversation without politics rearing its ugly head or having to tread lightly in what you say.

Here folks, you have found it. The humorous safe zone! I plan on embarking on all the different types of people lifestyles so I can to lean about them and in turn show the humanity behind the badge. I can’t promise I’ll cry with you (the years of service seems to have broken that) but I can definitely laugh with you.

Come one come all to the land of misfits and equality.

    • Are Cops Really Quasi-Military?
      Jan 11 2026

Feel free to contact us, we would love to hear what you think about the show!

Law enforcement is often called “quasi-military”… but how accurate is that really?
In this episode of Hanging in the Hideout, I sit down with my son—fresh out of Army basic training—to have a real, honest conversation about service. We break down the similarities and differences between police work and military life, from training and discipline to stress, mindset, and command structure.
This isn’t a family chat and it’s not a debate. It’s a raw comparison between two worlds that demand sacrifice, accountability, and the willingness to show up when others won’t.
      If you’ve ever wondered:
      Why police are labeled quasi-military
What Army basic training is actually like
How discipline, leadership, and stress compare
Or what service really costs behind the scenes
      This conversation is for you.
Whether you wear a badge, a uniform, or support those who do—this episode is a salute to service and the people who answer the call.

    • Police Technology And Future Privacy
      Dec 24 2025

Feel free to contact us, we would love to hear what you think about the show!

Law enforcement technology has changed faster than most people realize — and it’s still accelerating.

In this episode, a 21-year active-duty police officer breaks down the past, present, and future of police technology, from early dash cams to today’s AI-powered body cameras, drones, license plate readers, and predictive policing tools.

      We’ll cover:

      • What police can already legally see and access
      • How AI is being integrated into body cams, drones, and patrol cars
      • The rise of license plate tracking and digital evidence systems
      • Technologies currently in beta testing that even make cops uneasy
      • Where privacy concerns collide with public safety

This isn’t speculation or hype — it’s real-world insight from inside the profession. If you’ve ever wondered how much law enforcement knows about you, where the line is today, and where it may disappear tomorrow, this is a conversation you need to hear.

👮‍♂️ Education, transparency, and honest discussion — from behind the badge.
