À propos de ce contenu audio
Most conversations about sustainability, innovation, and solving big problems happen at a distance—from the ground, from the numbers, and from the people affected by them.
This podcast starts somewhere else.
Co-hosted by investor and entrepreneur Greg Bohlen and attorney-turned-advisor Dave Gold, Ground Truth explores what actually happens when big ideas are put to the test in the real world—where economics, community, human behavior, and the land itself all have a say.
At the center is Union Grove Farms in Hillsborough, North Carolina—a working regenerative agriculture project attempting to answer a deceptively simple question:
Can a system be environmentally responsible, economically viable, and socially sustainable—all at once?
Each episode moves across disciplines, —business, agriculture, psychology, policy, and community dynamics—to examine what holds up and what breaks down when ideas leave theory and meet reality.
This is not a show about perfect solutions or abstract debates.
It’s a show about pressure, tradeoffs, resistance—and the search for models that can truly sustain themselves.
Because sustainability that isn’t viable doesn’t scale.
And viability without sustainability doesn’t last.
👤 HOSTS
Greg Bohlen
Greg Bohlen is an entrepreneur and investor with decades of experience building and backing companies at the intersection of consumer innovation and sustainability. As an early investor in Beyond Meat, he has been part of reshaping how large-scale systems evolve. At Union Grove Farms, Greg is applying that same mindset to agriculture—exploring whether regenerative farming can be both ecologically sound and economically viable at scale.
Dave Gold
Dave Gold is a former trial lawyer and advisor who works at the intersection of identity, transition, and human performance. After decades in the legal profession, he now helps founders, professionals, and organizations navigate change—not just structurally, but internally. On Ground Truth, Dave focuses on the human side of transformation—translating complex ideas into insight and exploring why even the best ideas often meet resistance when they hit the ground.
