  • The Steadfast One: God is My Rock
    Sep 11 2026

What are you building your life on?

In this episode of The Steadfast One, we’re looking at what Scripture means when it calls God our Rock—and how that imagery ultimately points us to Jesus as our foundation and cornerstone. From David’s declaration that “the Lord is my rock,” to the Messianic stone prophecies, to Jesus’ story of the wise man who built his house on the rock, we’ll see why the foundation matters when the storms inevitably come.

A steadfast life isn’t a life that never gets shaken. It’s a life built on the One who cannot be shaken.

    Meditation Truth:
God is my Rock; therefore, I will not be shaken

  • The Steadfast One: God is My Refuge
    Sep 4 2026

Where do you run when life feels overwhelming?

In this episode of The Steadfast One series, we’re looking at what it means for God to be our refuge—and why that image carried so much meaning in Scripture. We’ll talk about what we tend to run to when fear and panic hit, how David repeatedly turned toward God in trouble, and how worship can help us remember who God is when everything around us feels uncertain.

I’m also sharing the story behind my song Sheltered and how creativity has become one of the ways I turn my heart back toward God.

God is my Refuge; therefore, I am safe in Him.

    Aug 27 2026

What does it really mean when David says, “The LORD is my shepherd”?

In this episode of The Steadfast One series, we’re looking at the beautiful picture of God as our Shepherd—the One who leads us, provides for us, restores us, protects us, and knows us by name. We don’t always have to know where we’re going. We just need to know the Shepherd who is leading us.

    Scriptures: Psalm 23, Isaiah 40:11, Ezekiel 34, John 10

  • The Steadfast One: God is My Father - Letting Go of the Orphan Spirit
    Aug 14 2026

What does it really mean to know God as Father?

In this episode of Grace & Grit Mindset, we continue The Steadfast One series by exploring Romans 8 and one of the most powerful truths of our identity in Christ: we have not received a spirit of slavery that leads us back into fear—we have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”

We’ll look at what Abba actually means, why knowing God as Father changes the way we relate to Him, and how His fatherhood remains steadfast even when the people and circumstances around us are not.

I also share a deeply personal moment when, in one of the most painful experiences of my life, the only words I could cry were, “Abba, help me.”

If you struggle with fear, abandonment, insecurity, or feeling as though you have to face life on your own, this episode is an invitation to meditate on a life-changing truth:

God is your Father. You belong to Him. And His fatherhood toward you is steadfast.

    Scriptures: Romans 8:14–17, Galatians 4:4–7, Mark 14:36, James 1:17

  • Choosing Faith Over Fear
    Jul 17 2026

When Fear Knows Your Name | Faith Over Fear

Fear has a way of making itself feel familiar. It whispers worst-case scenarios, keeps us stuck, and convinces us that we’re not enough.

In this episode, I’m doing something a little different. I’m reading the first chapter of my book, Choosing Better, titled When Fear Knows Your Name, and sharing some personal reflections on where I was when I wrote it and why this message still matters today.

If fear has been calling your name lately, I pray this episode reminds you that God is calling you to something greater—a life marked by faith instead of fear.

❤️ If this episode encourages you, would you take a moment to follow, rate, and review the Grace & Grit Podcast? It helps more people discover these conversations and means more than you know.
