 If we are to believe that Christ sacrificed himself to save our souls we must not think that this act simply meant that we could now go on selfishly and blindly living our lives without any concern or consideration for one another — all we have to do is believe in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and that’s enough. No, if we are to believe that Christ (a man) died for us than we must believe that his example was to show us the sacrifice that we must be willing to take for one another. It was to show us that in Christ absence, we must be willing to take up and bear his cross. And, that in the absence of all others who sacrificed their lives taking up that cross for humanity, we too must be willing to follow.
