George Civeris is a comedian and writer based in Brooklyn. He's currently a senior editor at Gawker, and has previously written for The Outline, the Columbia Journalism Review, and other outlets. His standup has appeared on Comedy Central, and he was selected as a New Face of Comedy at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. He has written for FOX's Let's Be Real, Comedy Central's Drag His Ass, the BBC's Comedians vs. the News, and Roku's Gayme Show. Along with Sam Taggart, he co-hosts the comedy podcast StraightioLab, which was named one of the best podcasts of the year by Esquire, Glamour, and Nylon, and Time Magazine.
