À propos de ce contenu audio
Progress is possible. Kenya proves it every day. When a nation treats social protection as a right you see the shift from survival to stability.
In this episode of the Zero Hunger Project, Dr. Lynett Ochuma, Acting Secretary at the State Department for Social Protection in Senior Citizens Affairs in Kenya, explains how the country is rewriting the fight against hunger. Moving beyond short-term cash transfers, Kenya implements an economic inclusion strategy known as the Ultra-Poor Graduation strategy pairing financial support with mentorship, productive assets, climate-resilient enterprises, and community-led targeting to build lasting income.
You hear how participants increase meal frequency, strengthen savings through village associations, and gain access to national social protection systems through digital registries. Youth engagement, political will, and global partnerships add momentum that extends beyond Kenya's borders.
Press play on this episode of From Vulnerability to Resilience: How Kenya Is Rewriting the Fight Against Hunger and step into a real-world blueprint for change.
