  • Better Together
    Oct 26 2026

Men weren't created to walk through life alone. Yet too often, we convince ourselves that being strong means handling everything on our own.

In this episode of Forged for a Purpose, Reed and Jonathan tackle the importance of biblical brotherhood and why every man needs other godly men in his corner.

Looking at Hebrews 10:24–25, we discuss the dangers of isolation, the difference between appearing strong and being spiritually strong, and why genuine brotherhood requires honesty, humility, accountability, and a willingness to speak truth into one another's lives.

God never intended for us to simply attend church, exchange handshakes, and go our separate ways. He calls us to build relationships that encourage spiritual growth, confront sin, strengthen our faith, and point one another toward Christ.

Because strong men don't stand alone. They stand together in Christ.

    🔥 This Week's Forged Challenge

Invite one mature Christian man to breakfast this week.

Don't just talk about work, sports, or the weather. Have one honest conversation about where you are spiritually, what you're struggling with, and where you need to grow.

Then tell another godly man what you're committing to do and ask him to follow up with you.

Make it intentional. Make it honest. Make it happen.

Listen to Better Together on Forged for a Purpose, a podcast by The Foundry Men's Ministry.

You were not made to drift. You are forged for a purpose.

  • Biblical Leadership on Tuesday
    Oct 12 2026

Jonathan leads Reed through the daily responsibilities of a godly man: governing himself, serving sacrificially, providing more than a paycheck, protecting without controlling, being present, working with integrity, and carrying burdens in the local church.

This practical follow-up to "What Is Biblical Manhood?" offers gospel hope for men who have failed and a concrete challenge for turning conviction into faithful action.

    Forged Challenge:

Write down one responsibility you have neglected.

Make it specific enough that obedience can be scheduled.

  • What is Biblical Manhood
    Oct 5 2026

    What makes a man godly?

Reed leads Jonathan through a biblical definition of manhood rooted in God's design and the character of Jesus Christ.

They confront the twin dangers of domination and passivity, explain why repentance is an act of courage, and show how strength and love belong together.

This episode calls men beyond cultural stereotypes and toward a life surrendered to Christ, connected to the local church, and spent for the good of others.

    Forged Challenge

Ask God to show you one place where domination or passivity has taken root.

    Name it honestly.

Confess it to God and, where appropriate, to someone you have affected.

  • Why Christian Men Need The Local Church
    Sep 21 2026

Can a man sincerely love Jesus while treating His church like an optional event?

Jonathan leads Reed in a biblical and practical conversation about belonging, membership, accountability, church hurt, healthy leadership, service, and why a podcast can never replace a local church.

The episode concludes with a concrete challenge to move from attendance toward meaningful participation.

    Forged Challenge

Before next Sunday ends, take one scheduled, concrete step from attendance toward belonging by visiting a faithful church, speaking with a leader, meeting another believer, serving a real need, or honestly sharing a struggle with a trustworthy mature Christian.

  • When a Man Stops Praying
    Sep 8 2026

Prayer often disappears long before a man admits that he is drifting from God.

Reed leads Jonathan in an honest conversation about self-sufficiency, busyness, guilt, disappointment, unanswered prayer, and the grace that invites us back to the Father through Jesus Christ.

The episode concludes with a simple seven-day challenge to help men begin praying again.

    Forged Challenge

For seven days, before looking at your phone in the morning, read one paragraph of Scripture and spend five honest minutes praising, confessing, thanking, asking, and interceding.

  • Don't Drift - How it Begins Part 2
    Aug 25 2026

In Don’t Drift: How It Begins — Part 2, Reed and Jonathan continue the conversation about one of the quietest dangers in the Christian life: spiritual drift.

Drifting rarely happens overnight. More often, it begins with small moments of neglect—putting off time in God’s Word, allowing busyness to take priority, and slowly losing our appetite for the truth that keeps us anchored.

In this episode, Reed and Jonathan talk about the difference between simply having access to Scripture and actually hungering for it. They discuss why faith isn’t built in the middle of the storm—it’s revealed there—and why the strength we need when life gets hard is developed during the ordinary, faithful days of walking with God.

They also get practical about how to return when you realize you’ve drifted: open God’s Word, start simple, ask God to teach you, and take the next step of obedience.

This week’s challenge: For the next seven days, before checking your phone, social media, news, or email, spend time in God’s Word. Ask two simple questions: What does this teach me about God? and What should I do because of what I just read?

And remember: The Foundry is not a replacement for the local church. Find a faithful, Bible-teaching, gospel-preaching church. Get connected. Serve. Build relationships. Grow alongside other believers.

You were not made to drift. You were forged for a purpose.

  • Don't Drift - How it Begins Part 1
    Aug 10 2026

Spiritual drifting rarely begins with a dramatic decision to walk away from God. More often, it happens slowly, quietly, and almost unnoticed.

In this episode of Forged for a Purpose, Reed and Jonathan unpack the warning of Hebrews 2:1 and the powerful picture behind the word “drift.” Like a boat slipping past the harbor because it was never anchored, believers can gradually find themselves farther from God than they ever intended to go.

Where does the drift begin? Often with something that seems harmless: neglecting God’s Word.

Reed and Jonathan talk about how busyness, distractions, phones, changing priorities, and spiritual complacency can slowly replace our hunger for Scripture—and why God’s Word must be more than a Sunday meal. It is the daily nourishment that keeps us rooted when temptation, suffering, disappointment, and the storms of life come.

You were not made to drift. You were forged for a purpose.

  • Guarding the Inner Man Part 2
    Jul 27 2026

What kind of man are you becoming when no one is watching?

In Part 2 of Guarding the Inner Man, Reed and Jonathan move from exposing the hidden fractures of the heart to building the habits that cultivate spiritual strength and lasting integrity. The battle for a man's life is won or lost long before anyone else sees it, and Scripture calls us to intentionally guard our hearts, minds, relationships, and daily walk with Christ.

Together, they discuss how God's Word renews the mind, why accountability is essential for every believer, the danger of isolation, and the daily disciplines that shape a faithful man. This conversation is practical, biblical, and challenging for every man who desires to honor Christ at home, at work, in ministry, and in private.

The strongest men are not those who never struggle—they are the men who continually surrender themselves to Christ and allow Him to shape them from the inside out.

If this episode encourages you, be sure to subscribe, leave a review, and share it with another man who is seeking to follow Christ faithfully.
