  • Episode 316: Inside TEPAP: The Executive Program for Ag Producers
    Oct 20 2026

If you talk to top farm business managers in North America today, most will have heard of or attended TEPAP, Texas A&M’s premier Executive Program for Ag Producers.

While this program has been around for more than 50 years, demand from participants has increased in recent years as everything from finances and insurance to technology and cyber security have gotten more complex and demanding for farmers and ranchers.

That’s why today, DTN’s Farm Business Editor Chris Clayton is sitting down with Mark Welch, director of TEPAP, to take us behind the curtain of this program. They’ll discuss how the program works, what producers can expect to learn, and why hundreds of growers from around the world have found it a worthwhile investment.

  • Episode 315: How the Midterms Could Shakeup Farm Policy
    Oct 20 2026

Polling places in many states are already open.

Voters have just days left to cast their ballots, which will decide the makeup of the U.S. House and Senate as well as key state-level offices from governorships to commissioners of agriculture.

Key races in this year’s midterms will also decide the makeup of both the Senate and House Agriculture Committees who are still working on passing a farm bill that’s now three years overdue.

And at this point in the season, many races in key farm states are looking unexpectedly competitive, with political allegiances shifting in ways that would have been unbelievable mere months ago.

To help us understand the lay of the land, we’re sitting down with DTN Ag Policy Editor Jake Zajkowski, who’s been watching these races closely, and tracking the administration response from Washington.

  • Episode 314: The October WASDE Stunner
    Oct 14 2026

The latest WASDE dropped Friday, October 9th, stunning farmers and analysts alike with an unexpected boost to U.S. corn stocks that sent the market on a bearish spiral.

To help us understand what all went down, we’re joined once again by DTN Lead Markets Analyst Rhett Montgomery, who takes us beat by beat through the latest updates from both the WASDE and the September 30th Grain Stocks report.

We’ll hear where USDA found enough extra corn bushels to cause a meltdown, and what that means not just for the global corn trade, but for the whole grain complex.

Finally, we’ll dig into what comes next in the face of a growing Super El Nino, ongoing conflicts in the Black Sea and the Middle East, and a looming election.
