Today, we’re going to pull it all together and talk about how you move from just struggling to standing …into actually walking strong in who you are in Christ.

You’re not just trying to have a good day. You’re learning to fight the right battle with the right weapons. Today, I want to put some actual tools in your hands. Not theory. Not clichés or fancy slogans and sayings. Tools! Because God has not left you weaponless in this fight!

We talked about the hidden war—the lies, the self‑talk,

the private agreements that keep us bound—

and how the secret place is where those lies start to get broken.

But what about those in‑the‑moment situations?

When somebody pushes your buttons.

When the tempting link pops up.

When anxiety floods your chest.

That’s what I want to lean into today:

Not being a slave to your own reactions.

Today, I want to talk about a war most of us never admit we’re fighting: The war you can’t post about. The inward battle. The secret stuff. The things that don’t show up in your Instagram story, but they show up in your thought life. The things nobody at church knows about, but they ride around with you all day. That’s where freedom really starts.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve had thisthought before:“Okay… I feel God in my secret place. I feel Him on Sunday. But why do I feel so ordinary…so stuck…so tempted…on Monday?”You’re in worship, tears flowing, hands lifted,you’re like, “This is it. God is real. I’m changed.” And then Monday shows up And you start wondering “Did that even work? Was that real? Or was I just emotional?” If you’ve ever felt that, you’re not crazy, and you’re definitely not alone. That’s exactly why we’re starting a new journey this week.

A lot of believers don’t struggle with God speaking. They struggle with knowing, “Is that really God, or is that just me?”

Yesterday we talked about the secret place being more than a location—it’s a relationship with a Person. Today we’re going to talk about how that Person speaks.

Because you cannot obey a voice you don’t recognize.

Many believers think of the secret place as a location: a room, a corner, a prayer closet. That’s fine—but if you stop there, you’ll only ever visit. God is inviting you not just to visit a room, but to dwell with a Person.

We’ve been talking all week about adding fuel—bringing wood: your attention, time, trust, the Word, worship, surrender. But there’s another part of tending the fire we can’t ignore: removing the ashes.
