Is it ok to ask questions about your faith? Of course it is! Asking questions causes us to search for answers, and in that process our faith can grow. So on this podcast we talk about some of the questions that our Confirmation students asked at the beginning of the Confirmation year.

We are back and and once again it's Holy Week: from Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, to his betrayal on Maundy Thursday, to his crucifixion on Good Friday, and his resurrection on Easter. It's messy, it's horrifying, it's sorrowful; but so are our lives. And when we experience the messiness of Holy Week, we then see how Jesus can help us throughout our own messes in our life.

What is seminary in the ELCA? What happens there? Pastoral Intern Curt talks about his experience at seminary, his time at Olivet, and what's on the horizon for him and his family.

What is Lent? Why do we participate? How do we participate? How can we, individually and as a congregation, carry this out throughout the year? These are just some of the questions we will work through in this podcast.

Stewardship is something we do all year long, not just in the fall. However, for budget purposes we talk more about it during this time of the year so we can plan our ministries for 2024. Pastor Kris talks about the importance of stewardship (not just financially) and how it changes our lives when we participate.

Fall is coming. The kids are back in school. Routines are beginning to form. Where does church fit into that? Research shows that having a church routine benefits our lives outside of the church walls. We hope you can routinely attend Olivet - either in-person or online.

Olivet high school and middle school students are going on Youth Trips this week. We discuss the impacts these have on our Faith Journey and how we can continue to apply the experience in our daily lives. We are also in the planning stages of the 2024 ELCA Youth Gathering.
