BIPOC FEMME POWER HOUR by DJ Alexus
    Feb 27 2023

Episode recorded February 4th, 2023; interview recorded January 27, 2023. The first episode of the series (the host can only hope) DJ Alexus showcases amazing BIPOC women and femmes in the music industry through a genre bending mixtape. From autotune to respectability politics to genre, together with Professor Cathrine Provenzano, Ep. 1 “the mix” discuss challenges BIPOC women and femmes face within the industry while also contemplating on what the hell should be the name for this show. Join DJ Alexus in explorating the art that is BIPOC femme music! Also help name the show (the host is serious about their lack of creativity) and suggest artists you want to see on the show by hitting DJ Alexus up on insta @alexus_ok_ !
