Dashakam 97 of Sreemannarayanneeyam otherwise known as Narayaneryam written by Melpathur Narayana Bhattathirippad is an anthology of devotional poems. Dashakam 97 deals with 'Uthamabhakthi' and the story of Markandeya. He was an ardent devotee of lord Mahavishnu. He was destined to live upto the age of 12 only as per his horoscope.
