What happens when God asks the unthinkable?
The story of God asking Abraham to sacrifice Isaac has sparked centuries of questions, doubts, and disbelief. Do we really want a God who would ask such a thing?
Difficult passages like this invite us to dig deeper rather than turn away. As we wrestle with Genesis 22, we're confronted with an important question: Would Yahweh truly require this of His people?
Join us in today's episode as we explore this story within its cultural setting and within the larger story of Scripture. As the pieces come together, we'll discover that Genesis 22 is not ultimately a story about a demanding God, but about a faithful God who provides. And we'll see that the God who meets Abraham on the mountain is indeed worthy of our trust, our faith, and our worship.
