Beautiful Garbage is a podcast from Osiris Media that traces the development of punk rock from American garages and bars to England and back in the mid-to-late 1970s.
In Episode 2, "Cultural Treason" we continue to follow the social and political trends that fueled punk's creation as a reaction to society at large. Once again we'll travel from Detroit to New York City as punk's other two cornerstones--The Stooges and the New York Dolls--gave a big middle finger to the end of the flower power era and cemented a new musical underground.
