In the midst of all of this in 1978 he would become a contestant on a popular game show called “The Dating Game”. He would be introduced as a successful photographer who can be found skydiving or motorcycling between takes. Jed Miles who was on the show with Rodney as a bachelor would describe him as a very strange guy with bizarre opinions.
Rodney went on to win the competition and a date with the episode's bachelorette Sheryl Bradshaw who would refuse to go on a date with him because she thought he was creepy
