Today is part 2 of our discussion of Lion King and its’ sequel. As such, this episode’s topic is the 1998 straight-to-VHS sequel to the surprise success that was the first film. Have you seen this one? Obviously, it’s now on Disney+ to stream, so it’s a lot easier to view, so I’d give it a watch if you haven’t already!
It only occurred to me, while putting together the thumbnail for this, that the official title of the movie is, “The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride”. I have never once, in my life, said the “the” at the beginning of the title. I’ve always just called it, “Lion King 2” or “Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride” if I’m feeling fancy.
