Quin Kirchner, Douglas McCombs, Brian J Sulpizio, and Andrew Trim from Yr Knives are here to discuss Begin Yr Singing, some of their individual pursuits and other collaborators, the lengths I might go to to surprise and impress Doug, how they became friends and familiar with each other in Chicago, a memorable performance tackling ZZ Top songs, recording with Nick Broste and setting up in a linear fashion in the studio, almost as if they were playing a show, the touring they’ve done with the Messthetics and James Brandon Lewis and an open letter to keep such tours happening, the song “White Gladys,” orcas, and yachts, writing new songs, other future plans, and much more.EVERY OTHER COMPLETE KREATIVE KONTROL EPISODE IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE TO PATREON SUPPORTERS STARTING AT $6/MONTH.
