Enola is a member of Fishing Lake First Nation and is a fluent Saulteaux speaker. She is also a registered social worker. Family and kinship are very important to Enola, because they provide the foundation to strong identity, belonging and culture. Enola has a passion for working with Indigenous individuals, families and communities. She has dedicated her entire career to the health, child welfare, family violence and mental health fields. She is a strong advocate for justice, equality and basic rights, and is respected for being a “voice” for those whose voices aren’t being heard.

Enola believes that mental health is essential for our overall wellness. It’s important to promote and support mental health with holistic health throughout our lives. This ensures a healthy start for all children and youth. By focusing on health, welfare and healing for families, we can address the social issues that challenge us, and promote healthy growth and development.
